why is there evil in this world?

Have you ever wondered how this people can believe in or have faith in a God in the midst of so much division, so much badness; so much evil? This Tuesday the well will discuss the topic "why is there evil in this world" with Dr. Jerry Walls.

Room 230, U.K. Student Center @ 7:30 P.M, Tuesday!

This is a discussion for the sake of discovering the truth; discovering real life. See you there.

is JESUS the only way?

Tonight the well will be discussing the topic "Is Jesus REALLY the only way!?!" with Steve Humble. There are others men and women of God right? What about Islam, Hinduism, Taoism, Buddhism, and countless indigenous traditions.

Why must Christians be so stinking arrogant to think that they are right and others are wrong?

I have a lot to learn from such a question. I hope that you feel the same.

Is Jesus a fad or is he here to stay...continuing the conversations...

Is Jesus a uniting figure or is He divisive?

Is our pop culture waking up to a new paradigm of Jesus and His Truth or is His popularity today just a faze...a fad?

Is Jesus the Truth or is He a made up cure-all for the void Love in our lives?

Who is this Jesus guy and why will he not go away? SERIOUSLY....

Discuss in the below comments link...we love this stuff!!!

pop...

Our culture is a mixed bag of money, money and, well, money. How does Pop Culture (that which sells) affect our daily lives and our Worldview as it relates to Jesus Christ. Jesus said to the rich man "sell your possessions and follow me" and the rich man walked away unable to do so. How do we critique our culture, embrace it and at the same time reject it for the sake of Jesus Christ? How does capitalism affect those around us, including the poor in India, Africa, Central America and even in the United States?

You may be unsure what Pop Culture really is. For deeper research into what pop culture looks like check this brief history on the subject out at... http://www.fccj.org/library/deerwood/reference/pop.htm.

Steve Beard will be leading us into discussion tomorrow at 'the well.' Check out his take on the subject at http://www.thunderstruck.org/.

evolution

Did Humans emerge from lesser species? Do we have gorillas to thank for hairy backed men? What about the unibrow? How did that happen?

But seriosly, is man (and all of creation) a product of evolution or were we created as the species to which we currently exist?

Give us your opinions. Comment on your experience or insights. Continue the conversations here!
